G30/31 BC, HBA, rain sensor randomly not working
Helo everybody, i have G31 preLci and i noticed that sometimes my BC, HBA buttons wont work randomly on SZL stalks. When they wont work, i cant turn on rain sensor too, indicator indicates but rain sensor wont work. Its absolutely random, it may work an hour, a minute, a couple of seconds. Sometimes they wont work after start of the car, after several minutes buttons starts to work. On the internet i saw couple of treads in forums, but these people didn't find any solution. Its on g30/31, g05 problems as i saw on internet. Maybe i'm not alone with this problem here on cartechnology?

RE: G30/31 BC, HBA, rain sensor randomly not working
So it sounds like bad SZL. I would check K-Lin form SZL to BDC. It would be perfect to use oscilloscope and check what happens when the problem occurs. Or at least use live data and check if pressing any buttons are recognized by BDC.
I guess indicator of rain sensor can work always but it can't send any info to BDC because LIN is not working. |

To confirm it's SZL hardware problem, if you press turn signal left or right, while pushing High Beam Assistant button, it will activate HBA.

Yes when buttons not working, it starts to work when turn signal and BC or HBA pressed, already have new szl, will replace then, in G30/31 series szl is not programable as i see, correct?

RE: G30/31 BC, HBA, rain sensor randomly not working
Replaced SZL in brand new, now with BC and HBA buttons everything is ok. But still randomly rain sensor not working after start of engine or ignition, then after couple of minutes it starts to work, sometimes it works already after engine start
