Hi folks,
I have been working ony my 07 Audi A6 4F fro quite some time.
Until now I had to go to the dealer to get CP removed for upgrade modules.
But I am sick and tired of it.

So I want to get into the topic deeper now. Which means I will have someone help me finding to right software to get CP removed.
I ordered a chinese VAS6154. Of course the DVDs were faulty.

Which Odis version can I use that work fine for my "old" A6.
Can you provie me with a download link and help with installation?

I tried searching the forum, but I must admit that its quite confusing for a newbie.

Any help is much appreciated

Hello, for protection component odis 7.2.1 will be enough for your a6 and you will find links on the forum. To do it online you will need gecko online to buy one or more sessions.

I ordered a chinese VAS6154. Of course the DVDs were faulty.

First mystake. You should have ordered a VAS5054A clone.
Use ODIS Service 7.2.1 if you want it on Win10 x64.
Use ODIS Service 6.2 if you want it on Win7 x64.

China clone of VAS6154A is shitty, not even a clone (they clones just the case).
The motherboard is VXDiag.
It’s very important that you not try to flash with this, it cannot do it and you will brick the flashed module.

If you want a good clone, get VCX SE, SVCI or VAS5054A.

Ok, I just ordered an original VAS5054A, used in good woring order.
I also installed ODIS 7.2.1. Its up and running. But of course the cheap wannabe clone doesnt accept  license renewal from the VX Manager.
Fortunately I got my money back for this worthless piece of junk.

I hope that the original VAS will arrive here shortly.

whats the easiest way to get online for component protection removal?
china offers any good?

allright, I received my genuine VAS-5054a today.
I have ODIS 7.2.1 installed.
ODIS connects to the VAS 5054a (USB) but it doesnt connect with the vehicle.
VX Manager doesnt see the VAS-5054a. no matter what connection type I choose.
Does VAS-5054a work under Windows 10 only in Bluetooth mode?
Unfortunately my bluetooth module on my laptop died. Have to get a new one tomorrow.

You have to mod some stuff. You can find it here in the forum. I can upload you one tomorrow. But the main files are made by fantomel an they are available in the forum here.
