Coding 2.0 what modules affected?
Does anyone know if BMW has started rolling out modules with coding 2.0 or is it just idrive 8 right now? If they are rolling it out on other modules how do we know if it is 2.0 module? Will you be able to read CAFD but not write? Will CAFD be missing on 2.0 modules?

RE: Coding 2.0 what modules affected?
There are plenty of such modules already. Most of them were normal in older iLevels, but were converted into this in newer ones.
How do you know? Well, there are no signature keys for such modules in psdzdata. I think CAFD files are there for now, but that does not help you much. |

I can read the MGU iDrive OS8 but I can’t read the DKOMBI8 on the new G20 LCI.

Plenty of other numbers are secure codings and plenty of 6/7 are not. Starting with S15A-22-07-500 there is now a module in S15A with secure coding too. IMHO this is the FULL list of secure coding modules/CAFDs based on psdzdata of ISTA 4.39.25. Note, that some units have no CAFDs at all, but I included them anyway based on coding signing key absence. |
