Situation for the future, if I encounter a E70 with short ISN in ECU. Autel can read EGS isn as 8 digits.

Can that be converted to a long ISN for AKL situations?

I had one recent that I walked from.

Other possibilities I looked into were flash and CAS eeprom in tango to make a key, then reset EGS.

Or ECU flash and CAS eeprom dump from elsewhere with a known long ISN, again resetting EGS.

I understand Autohex and BMW explorer capable in this situation. 

Any input for the future appreciated

Short ISN can not be converted to long ISN. I can prepare you a dump with another EGS ISN
