I have a problem with an opel astra h 2007, 1,6 turbo, with ecu bosch me7.6.2
I read the ecu with kess v2 without problem, but crashed at 100% while writing...

So i have bought a virgin ecu, and i need the pin code to recode it. 

Is it possible to find it in the dump ?
I post thé origninal file, if someone can help me...

Pin located in the eprom not in flash.

evgenujj is right. kess v2 only reads the config/parameter part of the ecu flash. the data you need is in an other part of the ecu in an "secured" eprom part.

Do you have some other diagnostic devices? I just have for this one case (read pin from opel ecu) an carprog china clone. which can do exactly that. It reads the programmed PIN-Code live from the ecu-eprom, even in an on bench situation. Do you have any info from the car this ecu was previously mounted?

One question, you said you bought an "virgin ecu". So was it demarriaged before?! virgin ecu means ecu without an "burned" security pin and free to program in an new car.

That type of programming can be done with something like GM MDI, OP-COM for example. It is basic security pin programming. and that pin is written on you carpass in the car document book.

Thanks to both of you, i understand better.

I have an autel official, and a china carprog.
The problem is i can not communicate with the ecu from obd.
The ecu i bought is factory new.
I will go to opel, and ask to them for the carpass, sshould not be very expensive.

You may also get pin from kombi or other ecus..

I finally found the pin code, and i have recoded my ecu, thank you for your help.

I will try this on my old ecu 12manus.
