Hi guys
Passat b5.5 with G180 airbag sensor fault Is possible make virgin for used G180 sensor ?? Will be fine to know If I can desolder eeprom from sensor which is encased in resin Airbag module : VW61 / 1C0909605C Thanks

Do not mater. Do not need eeprom swap, codding, or any another. But must verify connector and wiring for water damage.

Address 15: Airbags Controller: 1T0 909 605 Component: 05 AIRBAG VW62 0506 2112 Coding: 0012341 The 0506 in this example stands for the required Crash Sensor ID, the first 2 digits (05) apply for the front crash sensors, while the second 2 digits (06) apply for the rear crash sensors. The ID of the currently installed Crash Sensors can be determined by checking Measuring Value Block (MVB) 009. ==> My sensor from another car has ID-09 so isnt compatible and therefore is necessary change ID |

I haved impression that you want to mount a proper second hand sensor and you have trouble. You want to put an totaly different sensor and expect that is working ok ? Even if the fault code dissapear why you thing the senzor will work in proper way ? And if the sensor do not make a good sensing of impact what is the difference between puting a sensor only to be pressent and covering airbag led in dash ?

You need to read the eeprom in the sensor and upload the appropriate content with the appropriate index I have a reading of 04 index, If you have an org sensor, read the eeprom from it and upload it to the donor
