Hello, a friend of mine has a BMW e60 LCI and often drives the car with a trailer. Everything works great.
Now he has a new trailer with LED lights and the problem now is that there are always error messages because of the light and the car doesn't recognize the trailer at all, also because of the PDC and such.
Is there any specific coding that needs to be done? eg for the light warm and cold check? and when the error messages for the light are gone. what do you have to code for the car to recognize the trailer? . For help, I would be grateful. Thanks in advance

Provided it is a BMW trailer module you can code it the same as the light module to disable checks. ISTA-P also has a conversion for it that does the same.

yes modul is original BMW so i can check the errors to deactivate but what is to change that the car knows that the trailer is connected.
Car only recognize the old trailer

According to FUB: "The trailer module (AHM) detects a trailer as connected when at least two loads (cold measurement) are detected at the lighting outputs. The trailer module (AHM) then reports the status "Trailer connected"".

So IMHO you can't just disable cold checks.

Well, ISTA-P adds H-word KLED which just disables checks, but I have no idea whether that helps to detect trailer:

You can try and see what happens.

P.S. In the old times before cold checks could be disabled by coding I used polyfuses to fool LMs into thinking that there is a load. If you want polyfuse to live longer add relay to switch it off when power is applied. Short cold check pulse does not activate the relay.

It still detects the load, just not the load an incandescentt bulb would kick out.
