The code is calculated based on the FSC of your car and the map version.

Give us the last 7 digits of your VIN, the map you installed and i can tell you the activation code (or someone if he is faster).

The unit is from your car or is a retrofit?
If it's retrofited you need to read the FSC from the unit.

you should update your CIC to latest iLevel , then you can upload maps from USB. which is the map version you are trying to load from DVD?

there is a high chance that the CIC will fail update programming and become unresponsive. proceed with caution. the 2009 first year of this system the CIC failure rates are high.

I updated my 06/2009 CIC with Winkfp and ICOM to the latest data and it worked without any issues.
I didn't check if USB-Update works, because i thought that only works from 03/2010 - E060-10-03-xxx on....

Last week i had an E61 11.11.2009 with stock Ilevel E060-09-09-516 and the USB Update worked without any issues - there has never been made an update on this car before. It also does not have the "i" on the checkmark (that symbolizes that the i level is USB-update-ready)

USB-Stick with 2023 maps into the usb-port in the glovebox - recogniced the update - enter FSC and there we go - worked without any issues!

I was very surprised about that - i seems that some of the late 2009 CICs also work with the USB Update.
