Evening,

I’m having a bit of ISTA / Car trouble and looking for some support?

In the past week I think my HK amp has died. I thought I had a water issue about 3 years ago (F83), I removed the drain plugs to make sure it kept working - and it did, until last week.

Last week I got the “No Warning tones” message on the car.

I hooked up ISTA and ran some tests - to find nothing new coming up.

Because the amp should never get stuck underwater now the plugs are removed, I thought it could be the flexray…
I browsed ISTA and found “Initialise Flexyray 01” under the “Call up ECU functions” and thought maybe that would serve as a flexray test?

I ran it and almost instantly got DSC & ICM errors that I just can’t clear.


I’ve seen some users talk about opening flex ray ports using tool32 & other suggesting to rewrite the FA using ESYS…


Can anyone shed explanation on what’s happened for me?

Try it with tool32 reset flexray and sync flexray after that with ista.
In tool32 open ZGW_01.prg
steuern_reset_learn_flexray==>F5
In ista Service funktion/Body find ZGW sync and do it.
Clear error

Thanks Siki78, after some messing about between ENET cables and K-can’s - that worked a treat!

Hey Siki78, can I just query something with you on this & your experience.

Since the reboot - I’m having a battery drain message constantly appear. Car quickly shuts things down and tells me to drive to charge the car back up.
The battery has never let me down and it still starts every time I try start the car.
It does keep turning off the keyless access…

I’ve removed the amp and plan on sending that away for repair - just wondered if the battery needs re-initialising as part of the other process after initialising the flexray?

I plan on checking the voltage tonight with a multimeter before aigning off & will recheck tomorrow and start pulling fuses if there’s any drain

No battery doesn't need to be calibrated
