Question regarding ICOM from Aliexpress
I am going to buy an ICOM NEXT WIFI from Aliexpress.
Now I am wondering that if I can update the ICOM firmware even if I buy this product. i understand it is kind a copied ICOM which is not geunine product. |

Forget clones, make a lot of problems. Communication issues, make failures when programming car. Very cheap, and bad electronic parts inside the clones. Pay much not too more, and buy genuine ICOM and never problem with the interface. I'm using an original ICOM Next every day since 6 years, never have any problem.

Yes, you can correct mistakes if you have the knowledge. This saves money but takes time. If you are not familiar with such work with small details and do not have good equipment, then it may turn out badly or not at all.

a little off-topic, but a lot of distributors are stocking the NANO instead of the ICOM. Is the eNANO better?

NANO is not the solution to all and, in fact, the cable with WIFI is deprived of everything. There are a lot of similar devices and with much more functionality. Of the high-quality Chinese solutions, VCX-SE can be noted, but it has unrecoverable problems, although they are not so relevant at the moment and concern only old cars
