2012 Opel Insignia Zenon light Conversion
I have a customer with a 2012 Opel Insignia that has the usual water in the headlamp and no Zenon light working. I am wondering if it is possible to replace both of the headlamps with lamps that use the ordinary H1 and H7 bulbs.

RE: 2012 Opel Insignia Zenon light Conversion
Halogens usually don't have auto-leveling, also does not require ignition module (ballast) and adaptive cornering lights also were not available in basic headlamps.
So, if you want to swap to halogen - a lot of reprogramming would be required, also maybe rewiring. If you want to put halogen bulbs in place of xenon - well.. if there is a custom adapter to D2s, then it's technically possible. But the light output would be awful. Also, some wiring to power them up without frying will be required. I think looking for a used unit from a junkyard would be much easier and cost-effective way to repair. |

It is very hard to find replacement lamps even in vehicle breakers because it is a common problem.
