Hi all,

I am looking to fix my bose after MMI update. I've seen the fix script but infortunetaly the metainfo2.txt is for ANC bose and I need to use the BoseG3_C7 folder in order to patch it.

Car : Audi A7 - 2016

Can someone help me?

I know that the last option is VCP but I need to make it quick if possible...

You will  need it vcp or odis otherwise no chance to fix it.

when bose is flashed with firmware update, it is to late and sound parameters on bose ecu is gone.

only solution is VCP or when you applied a firmware update on same firmware train for example EU AUG11/AU57x from 0040 up to 2xxx (latest ER 2589 - SVM MHI2ER2589) then you need a workshop or someone with odis service and online access to apply the SVM Code from the update.

Same when updated from 3xxx train to newest (latest ER 3663 - SVM MHI2ER3663).

but when you made a firmware train jump from aug11/au57x 0040-2xxx to 3xxx for carplay/android auto, then it is possible you will get an error when doing svm online on odis and it says unit is not for this car and it could stop the whole process, so only VCP could help.

metainfo2 only helps before applying update, or removing the most cable from bose amplifer while updating, afterwards only solution with online odis or vcp diagnostic

What is that junk? Screwing up your train and it won't even install on a unit without meta signature patched out.
Anyway here is the correct stuff. 4 versions are possible, 2016 car your best bet is 420. Or check in SWDL in Logging history which version was there before the update.

its not junk it was used many time to recovery sutch problems. yes it need patched mib i think its not a problem this days.

Thanks a lot. Put the 420 firmware on the SD, into the SD slot and done the update. After restarting, sound was back again!

Many thanks, I was sure that the Bose didn't needed VCP Parametrization just to work with its old version. The thing is that with the new firmware, the parametrization is different I think!
