w639 broken keyfob
Hello,

Got a problem with my shop van, key fell from high and now the infrared is loose. Keyfob works to lock/unlock the van, but cant start. It's my only key.

What is the best and cheap way to fix the fob? Can I for example buy a used szl and change the dump to my VIN/mileage. Or do I need full set with ECU? Or is there a partnumber for the IR-smd part?

I have R270, cgdi prog, cgdi bmw and hexprog..

Do you really know what those tools are doing ?

R270, cgdi bmw are for BMW,
you gonna use BMW tools on Mercedes ?thinking

And none of them are related to your fob.

program a new job key.

I know what the tools do....? R270 and CGDI Prog are not only for BMW, they are just 'tuned' eeprom readers imo. I was thinking about getting used cheap EIS and change VIN/mileage in the dump if that's possible.

Also, I know that I can go to a locksmith. Thats not what I asked.

I will be smd soldering new IR receiver/transceiver to my old fob.

Well, more easy, desolder nec MCU from ori key and solder on used or new key, OEM if it's possible.
