In short wipers dead, motor checked ok. 
Ordered a used BCM module, hooked up - wipers work. Presto-
Did long coding from old. No problem. 

Gateway installation list however.. The difference is auto trans on car itself, donor did not have. But it wont save the change in installation list. 
Think it is therefore the car wont start with used BCM module. The auto trans won´t communicate to gateway if it is inactivated. VCDS, Autologic Gscan and a couple of other tools all fail to save the change on the auto trans. With or without security code.  Am I missing something ? 

Is there a problem installing used BCM´s?
Could it be that I got the wrong BCM with no support for autotrans? 
The number on the BCM in car was :
6R0937087P 

and the one I got is
6R0937086P

I have already sent the used one in return and awaiting a different one with exactly the same part number. Anyone that has had this issue before? Perhaps it needs virginizing?

Solved. It was the junkyard that had sent the wrong one. For future reference it works perfectly with a secon hand BMC in a VW Polo 6R as long as it matches the physical HW number.
