RE: Updating all Passat B8 modules
Can I update the DSG gearbox software to a newer one?
What software can I upload in my case?
Will I have to do anything else after the update?

RE: Updating all Passat B8 modules
I cannot comment on an update path for TCU, but after the update one would have to perform/apply basically all procedures from Adaptations menu for DSG module in ODIS S.
That is, reset all learned values, get gearbox up to temperature and drive it for some time for ECU to relearn all necessary data.

Are u shure?
I have done in my leon 5f also some retrofits.
After swap Gateway to the facelift model, I updated the steering ECU. After that, I have an error "steering wheel defect" in GW. The solution was to swap the buttons in the steering wheel to the facelift buttons. 50€ ...

RE: Updating all Passat B8 modules
Did anyone try the 'Whole vehicle update(SOD)' function in ODIS-E? Is it easier to findout which module could be upgraded? I only read it from the manual and never tried it.

If it helps, please give rep yes , thanks!

An Audi Q4 e-tron same as ID4. I didn't try the function myself because I didn't download the full flash data yet. Do you have experience with that?
