7zip complains that file (west) is actually a .zip not a .7z whilst it extracts so not sure if you renamed file after zipping but does appear to have unzipped OK. Can't see that being a problem as 7zip can obviously handle zips no problem but I don't have a car with this map type to test with, probably the weekend or later before I visit a friend that does, just a FYI really but would be good to get feedback that all works OK if someone installs first. thanks

Actually, the original files are without extension. BMWDownloadManager save this archive to a temporary folder, then unzip it to the stick. I added .7z and see that it can be opened, so I shared this way.
Now I checked by binary opening the files and they start with PK not with 7z, so they are definitely .zip files, although other archive programs like 7z or winrar can open them.
Anyhow, I have modified the files on Mega, they are now .zip files.

I have opened with 7z and WinRaR and no problem.
After opening with 7z of original archive content was copied on USB and map update done, no problem at all!

OK great that explains it then, 7zip certainly had no problem extracting it but the message was unexpected, now I know why :)  I just renamed it to .zip myself
