Issues after update
Hi all,
I did an istep update on my car went from 2018 to 2023 and all completed successfully but the kombi won't show any track or radio station information there is no errors showing up in ista however I do get the following message. Is there a solution to this? 2018 - G30 - 540ix |

Did you follow the recommended test module in the error message?
When I added some features via E-Sys, I was getting some soft errors that would only show up in E-Sys regarding unexpected ethernet connections. There are some test modules that automatically reconfigure the internal ethernet connections that this could be related to. Search ISTA for ethernet and you should be able to find it. One thing I'll warn is that if you're making a large jump (such as you have) then there may be some features that require syncing with the BMW servers. For example, I had updated my G12 and had to go to a BMW to read my vehicle so that it'd sync and allow Android Auto to be loaded as the servers still assumed I was on an old iLevel. |

Just a update been to bmw and they have performed a update to the car and the issue has only got worse with the kombi and it shows orange at all times in Ista
reading with code reader shows 100's of errors about incorrect coding ect nothing i do seems to be able to get it working i have tried the ethernet option in ista and that seems to do nothing im at a total loss any help would be really appreciated |

Have you tried battery reset?
P.S. G30 is TOO generic. As in you MAY have more than 1 battery and then you need to follow VERY strict procedure to disconnect ALL batteries for this. |

Hi sorry
Yes my car has two batteries one is in the engine bay near the firewall and one is in the boot. I have not tried that so I would need to disconnect the battery in the boot and in engine bay? Car is a 540ix 2018 pre lci |

Then you will have to be MORE specific and list ALL faults you currently have.
