Update I-step with Ista Online
Hi colleagues.

I have a problem with updating i-step online. Jobs I have done:
1. Use E-sys flash all ecu with i-step 23-03-537. In VCM write i-step (current).
2. Vehicle checked with Ista online, FASTA file out successfully (checked).
The problem is that after I check with S-gate, the i-step (current) doesn't change.

- Secure coding (NCD 2.0) fit to FA changed (Typschlussel, Serie, Region...).
- Remove component protection MGU18/21 (only case BDC replace).
- ID8.5 (SFA) conversion/ change region map.
- Virgin Kafas4, MRR, RAM used.
- Mgu patch, fsc custom match to vin, remove CP.
- Reset ISN 7DTC, 8HP for F, G serie (include EGS7).
- Write ISN MG1/MD1 with remotely.
- Carplay/Android Auto MGU with/without ATM (6AE).

The info was never sent to online servers.

Thank for reply. I have done this on another car before. The i-step information is updated almost immediately at s-sgate after FASTA file out successfully

It will be sent, but not immediately, it is a matter of days, weeks or even a month. Just like we do retrofit. Even the ecu programming service action will disappear…

Did you ended in the correct way the session with ista online? The protocol is the last action that ista performs, if you close ista / session or disconnect the car in the wrong way, no protocol will be created so no info will be sent at server. There is also a sync timer between ista and server.

more information about what?

if you kill ista -->no protocol --> no data sent

if you shut off laptop with ista alive and session opened --> no protocol -->no data sent

all protocols goes into launcher storage folder and many other folders of ista, and will be sent at bmw server with time sync depending on configuration.

If the timer ends up with laptop offline or shutted of, no data will be sent, it will goes with the next sync

In simple words, if you do all in the right way, datas will be sent to server

if you delete launcher storage folder or ista protocols/fasta/rgdata/etc etc folders and files, no data will be sent.

Just check if protocol was sent succesfully and besides you can create a ticket at AOS and they can give you the answer.
Now we are just guessing here.
