Second hand ICM coding help needed. F10
we have changed ICM module on F10, and tried to code it Read VCM>Detect CAF for SWE then code but error's won't go off. Any help would appreciate

What faults are stored in ISTA if you scan it?
Read VCM does not read actual data from ECU, maybe coding not correct. |

Only "Read ECU" will find new ICM. Read VCM show your old one.

Read ECU (not read VCM), detect cafd and coding. If there is an error, check the part number icm, maybe it is not compatible with FA
- Secure coding (NCD 2.0) fit to FA changed (Typschlussel, Serie, Region...).
- Remove component protection MGU18/21 (only case BDC replace). - ID8.5 (SFA) conversion/ change region map. - Virgin Kafas4, MRR, RAM used. - Mgu patch, fsc custom match to vin, remove CP. - Reset ISN 7DTC, 8HP for F, G serie (include EGS7). - Write ISN MG1/MD1 with remotely. - Carplay/Android Auto MGU with/without ATM (6AE). Tick in ESYS Option „VCM Update“ also. Connect car, read ecu, read vo, detect CAFD for ICM, right click ICM, click code.
Change ESYS Option back for later things. Press on Coding tab, „SVT reset“, „Read ecu“ on SVT_IST, „Read VCM“ on SVT_SOLL. Is the ECU tree on left side without red things all is ok now. You need one of:
A bit older HW (should still work): 6797557 6799890 6856875 Same HW as your orig: 6857125 6799696 6857265 A bit newer hardware (should also work): 6850788 6857317 6865431 Even more newer hardware (use due diligence if buying these): 6854638 6866168 6868043 6864930 6866989 6866993 6876000 6878194 6879832 6882966 6886192 6887751 P.S. If ordering "even more newer hw", check picture whether shape of the unit and connectors are the same. Also potentially do due diligence to compare car schematics. I did not do that. |
