At the moment there are no solutions, the bmw online data is not accessible so no coding, even if in Europe it would not be legal to block the possibility of an auto repairer
to repair the cars autonomously.. we'll see what happens

I never heard about anything in Europe about "blocking repair autonomously". Could you elaborate on that?

Current EU directive is SIMPLE: independents should be able to access SAME things as dealers. Or in legalese: "Manufacturers shall provide unrestricted and standardised access to vehicle repair and maintenance information to independent operators through websites using a standardised format in a readily accessible and prompt manner, and in a manner which is non-discriminatory compared to the provision given or access granted to authorised dealers and repairers."


So dealers NEVER had any ability to do FDL codings, so independents don't have such right either.
