F30 AC compressor clutch not engaged
Hello.

I have a problem with my AC. The AC clutch is not engaging. Here's what I have already done:

1. Checked the wiring from the FEM (Front Electronic Module) to the AC compressor. There are two wires, one for the clutch and one for the valve, and they are functioning properly.
2. Tried to manually run the clutch by providing a direct 12-volt power supply, and it worked. Cold air came out.
3. I recoded IHKA (Integrated Heating and Air Conditioning) and FEM.

When the car is turned off, the voltage measurement in the valve and clutch wires is 12 volts. However, after running the engine and turning on the AC to the maximum setting, I have 12 volts for the valve wire and only 3 volts for the clutch wire. No errors are stored in FEM or IHKA. Additionally, when I try to open the clutch from ISTA , I receive the following error:     .

1. check coding of FEM and IHKA(magnet kuplung).
2. replace output stage(blower motor).

RE: F30 AC compressor clutch not engaged
Type and date codes are REALLY correct in your "original" FA? And compressor is also of original type?

RE: F30 AC compressor clutch not engaged
YES it can be even though the VO is original. VO coding wont apply the needed fdl change.

So you say that at BMW factory someone sits and FDL codes cars after manufacturing??? Just because VO coding does not work... That's BOLLOCKS!!! And then dealers after update need to ask BMW to FDL code cars because they can't FDL code themselves... Even MORE bollocks.
