XZBMW  Bmw n20 need help
Hi
2014 f10 520i with n20 engine . Car came to workshop with tug . Problem is engine cranking but won’t start at beginning no any error code after a few start test ecu give 111030, 111031, 111032,111033 cylinder no1,2,3,4 fuel injecter current increase very slow . I checked ecu one electronic components broken as photo and replaced and tested error code gone but same issue no any error code cranking but won’t start after a few test same components blown . Also have another thing I checked rail pressure during cranking 150 bar same as ecu request but if I release rail pressure to zero and try start engine start a few second but stop again . Checked; injecter, spark plugs, high pressure fuel pump but looks normal . I suspect from ecu I have used ecu from 328i f30 n20 can I use this ecu for 520i same hardware if I change isn? What could be wrong

RE: Bmw n20 need help
That looks like a current sensing resistor. If it overheats you have a short somewhere. Check that tantalum capacitor. For compatibility determination would be MUCH easier to have part numbers rather than some vague description.

RE: Bmw n20 need help
How can I determine short circuit and where is it on ecu or harness and no any error code why engine doesn’t start the problem could be on fuel quantity valve? If rail pressure higher than 50 bar engine just cranking if less engine start but after a few seconds stop and not start again till to rail pressure release

RE: Bmw n20 need help
have you run a scan on ista to see if you can get some other fault codes? otherwise might be best to just replace harness and ECU
