Hi Guys,

I got an F30 - 2013 328xi non navigation that has "Boot Loader Modus' on the idrive screen and it is not functioning.

Does anyone know how this can be fixed?

When I connect to ista it restarts the unit and it temporarily starts working but then after a few days this issue reappears.  We are not able to reboot the unit by holding down the power / volume either.

Try to flash, if not replace with an entrynav unit, Hu entry ussually bricks

That sounds like a failed solder joint or a failing flash memory so sometimes processor reads memory correctly and sometimes not. You could try reflashing the unit. If that does not help then reflowing big chips. But it may be much easier to just replace.

the owner replaced the HUEntry with a used unit now the screen just says no signal, tried vo coding it but no communication with the replacement, does that mean replacement is also defective?
