I am here to ask for a favor from those who have access to the BMW PUMA database. Is it possible to check if there is a document regarding the turbo wastegate rattle on an BMW B38 engine?
Wastegate actuare was already replaced but noise is still there.

There is no Service solution for B38 wastegate rattle. If it rattles, replace the turbocharger.

Sorry if I bring this thread back but I have found some info online.

Look at the pictures below.
It talks about B42, B46, B48 and XB1G engines but the described symptom is identical on the B38.

There is one puma for the B38 rattling noise regarding Turbo wastegate but it tells only to update the DME. I can provide to you but only in German unfortunately

Thank you very much to both of you!
My F40 should already have this fix since it's running the latest OTA I-level (03/2023) but the noise is definitely still there.
I assume that for BMW the B38 is not worth the time investment for a wastegate rattle

Anyway, thank you again for the info !
