How to DISABLE Remote Software Update by coding on id8 ?
Has anybody ideas how to disable OTA updates on id8 cars? To keep codings and other not easy done changes safe.

Just tried in an I20, and didn't work. Neither TELD nor 6P1 are possible.

Search the voice “hv support mandatory” in the mgu, now i’m out from the workshop and i’m not sure at 100%, tomorrow i check better. But this function make the hv support mandatory for do the remote software update… so if the car is not hybrid or EV… the software update doesn’t start. Tested on many ID7 and ID8 series and it work! EDIT: RSU_HV_SUPPORT set on HV_SUPPORT_MANDATORY FB & IG PRZPERFORMANCE - Brescia - Italy

I dont think that there is a way to deactivate the RSU.
certainly not for sec. coding vehicles..... |
