Hi, I have bought I used 6WB cluster to retrofit in G30. Eeprom is 35128wt. I read it with vvdi prog with 35128 option and I got 16kb file, which I think is good. I found short vin in 3 places which I can replace with FF's. Also I dont know where mileage is stored in this eep so if someone can check what mileage is on this car (mine is 70000km) but my biggest concern is can I write this chip successfuly with vvdi prog or I will have red dot after? You cannot modify the mileage. It is important, that the new 6WB have less mileage than your car.
When you code it it will count the mileage up. So only virgin the VIN Numbers

Apply + and - to the panel and you will be able to see what mileage you have. If it is smaller, then as written above, only vin and then coding on the car

Ah thanks all, that wouldnt be a problem to only increase approx. 10k km of my original mileage but is is safe to write it with vvdi prog with vin filled with FF's?

Hi, I wrote 3 vin's with FF and soldered back the eeprom. Added 6wb to vo and then detected cafd and coded to car, but now red dot next to the mileage and cluster shows car mileage not the higher one. How can this be solved?

EDIT: After letting car to sleep and turning ignition back on mileage shows the highest and no red dot. Thanks to all!

Close the car and wait ten minutes to sleep. The red dot wil disappear.

Yanhua YH 35xx Programmer work fine also for change VIN in 35128WT. Have retrofit 6WB in G30, no need emulator for VIN changing (read/backup, replace three short VIN with FF and write). EEPROM located in rear metal panel, just remove 4 screws and dissasembly).No need emulator only for cluster with higher mileage.
If someone do this retrofit, I used cluster build 2016 (0 263 723 124 / 202363), late test vehicle, No CAFD so need to flash it. All working great.
