Hi, I have a 2016 Ibiza I have retrofit a highline camera too, couldn't be more simple 2 can wires power and earth. Activated 6c camera in gateway but the car can't communicate with it. Done all the other activations needed I believe and checked numerous times the wiring but nothing seems to work. Does anyone have anything to throw in the mix, I have mib2 with nav and rear sensors, am in the process of fitting fronts but I can't see that making a difference, standard camera works fine grrrrrr

A far idea, but is the connection can from standard camera to highline camera the same on the other side of can? Second, where are the cameras connected at the same place and what would be their hardware / software version. Food for thought.

Standard camera doesn't use can lines just a video feed, positive, negative and a reverse light feed to turn camera on.

Then if standard has a video feed but highline a can to gateway, it isn't sufficient to activate in gateway, isn't the gateway needing Adaptations channels modified? Maybe wise to post an Auto-Scan if you use vcds.

I get that but surely it's got to see it on the can for adaptions to be made, I've removed it all for now and gone back to low line until I can get it figured out

If you would look in ETKA, for the high option code and standard option code, is the gateway the same part number?

No you don't need the camera on gateway for lowline but for highline it's 6C
