W222 FL headlight weird problem, only Right side detected
Hi there guys, I am facing a bizarre problem on a W222 facelift. The client washed the car and soon after, turn signal started to show error in dash. Next day, LH headlight wouldn't start anymore. Replaced headlight ECU, but HLI_FL253 not detected anymore.If I plug both headlights, only HLI_FR253 is detected with a timeout error.
If I plug only RH headlight, HLI_FR253 detected and can be addressed with "communication to LH headlight missing" If I plug only LH headlight, still HLI_FR253, but with "malfunction" telling me that maybe the wrong headlight is connected. I measured pin 53 that gives MASTER/ SLAVE assignment, ground on LH, positive on RH, as it should. MEasured continuity to CAN PERIPHERAL in CAN lines, all ok. I am running out of ideas. Any thoughts? disconnect right side headlight and keep only left side, do in monaco side reset, then hard reset, now it will appear as hli_fl253 and hli_fr253 and continue your coding
