Mazda RX7 odometer correction
Hi all, replacing a cluster in an RX7 and need to match the kilometers, car was stolen recovered and cluster (among lots of other parts) have been stolen. Would just copy old eeprom if available

odo bytes seem to be located on the first line, dump is attached.

cars last known KM was 98,xxx (last service), customer guesses he needs about 103xxx. file has 149672km.

woops sorry, brain has been going a million miles an hour lately, its a 93c56 dip8, i dont have the year to the car as customer only supplied me the cluster. but just by googling the part number, in the vicinity of 1998-2000.

I know it's an old post but here it goes in case you still need it... File is fine... Write this on the first line: EA FD D5 FB AB F7 57 EF A7 F7 D3 FB FF FF FF FF all FD RX7's have 93C56... It was the last RX7 made and the only one with digital odometer. The algo is tricky. If it does not work, let me know and I'll fix it.

hey mate thanks for the reply. i wrote your dump and just reads 172, i tried changing some bytes on the ori to see if i could change it and nothing changed until the last time, in which it changed to 172 also. so not sure whats happening there.
