Remove VIN lock from SMEG
Hello All,
Soon I am going to install a used replacement SMEG unit. I understand that the VIN needs to be changed because of anti theft lock. I have diagbox and a Lexia (clone) or passthru device. Can I remove the VIN lock or do I need something special? I also ready something about being able to do it with an Arduino which I have. I am looking for the simplest solution. |

Part number of new unit is 9815355380 and comes from a Citroën C3 I tried removing the VIN lock with cracked diagbox and with Original Diagbox. Both result with programming failed. what am I doing wrong? |

As it is configured for a Citroën, the server does not accept it until it is configured correctly. However I purchased a token so rather use that one, otherwise waste of money. I need to figure out the calibration situation of the unit |

RE: Remove VIN lock from SMEG
can someone confirm the following theory if it would work:
I found a VIN number of a 208 with SMEG IV2. Can I purchase a token to enter it in diagbox and download the calibration in this way? When it is succesfull, change the VIN to the correct car. Does this work? |
