Own car picture in Headunit using SSH
Hey guys, i know its somehow possible to get the own car in ID5/6 HUD instead of the basic car.
But i dont find a how-to. Does someone have an instruction to go through the steps ? |

You must first open SSH, then run a series of commands with Putty. Once that’s done, you can use WINSCP to navigate the directory of the unit to change your image, which must be in PNG format with a specific pixel count.

Did that couple times few years back. You have to keep running SCP otherwise doesn’t let you to copy anything.

No Need of SCP, can be done by ssh or HU-Imagetool.

The price for the tool is simply too high to change just one image. And then for that price it can't even open SSH.

The price is simpyl to high - this is your point of view and you can still use your skills and some free available tools, to change the image for free. The tool is certainly good, but the price is not justified for 1-2x image changes.
Of course you can open ssh yourself with other tools and change the image with scp. It's just that the tool's price/performance ratio simply doesn't fit. But ok, everyone has the right for price that they think is right. |
