some ecus may need a power supply as much as 14v 5a to work.

i have a external power suply! 
when i drop it down like 12.4 volts its says : power to low
when i screw it up to 13.6v it says power to high

i set is to 13v and then i have : missing power module

Dont buy this tool. I got the same problem on pcr 2.1. missing power module. Other ecu like edc17 and edc16. it will read sometimes often stop and got error and u have to start over again. unplug everthing. Its a risk to use and may brick ecues when writing. its like pistol roulett. :P

Yes HTprog2 working better but not 100% stable :P it comes with power module.

What do you mean 'unstable'? Hangs while reading or writing?

It means its very dangerous to work with. Very unreliable stuck in the midle of writing after that you have a dead ecu.......Same situation with kt200
