New CANCLIP interface
Couple of weeks ago I bought a CanClip. See photopictures. It is not Alliance or RLT2002 type.
It has only one PCB. Unfortunately I cannot return it any more. Do some one use it?

I need drivers fot it.
May be some one knows how to install it?

Only on x86?
I have tried it on win10 x86, when I connect it to car and laptop windows makes sound. But does not see it.
It means, drivers must be added.

Please tell how you installed it?

I have news. When I am conecting CanClip to laptop window see it as Vehcle PassThru element.

Device Manager (see photo) says:

Vehcle PassThru Interfaces: Mongoose Pro JLR J2534 Interface

So inside a CanClip Shell there is PCB of PassThru Mongoose Interface.

Will it work with CanClip software?
How to use it?

RE: New CANCLIP interface
Go to Registry in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PassThruSupport\Mongoose Pro JLR J2534 Interface (your passthru registry)

And set: "Vendor"="79B" and "Name"="1B"
Then reboot and try again.
Good luck

I cannot find in registry  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PassThruSupport\Mongoose Pro JLR J2534 Interface

what I found is in the photo picture. If it is what you mean - how to modify it?

in the end of row is: FunctionalLibrary, I think it differs from your text

RE: New CANCLIP interface
What you find it is a different location don't you think?
Go to the location mentioned. In your oicture there is a different location.
Then I said to change "Vendor" and "Name"
Did I mention "FunctionLibrary"
I hope you understand what do I am telling you.

Good luck

Hi, I understand you good. There is NO     such key in the registry of my laptop in same location: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PassThruSupport\...."

Look please in the picture. How it must be installed? Or it must be created?

RE: New CANCLIP interface
When you install the driver for any J2534 interface it should have a registry.
So, try to reinstall the drivers and check it in Device manager.
If your system is 64 bits the check under WOW6432node too
Did you installed the Mongoose Pro JLR drivers yet? Because in one of your previous pictures i can see that the drivers show as questionable in Device Manager, or I am wrong?
If there isn't anything like this then something is wrong or weird with your device.
Maybe the driver is seen as Mongoose Pro JLR in Device Manager, but this VCI isn't a real Mongoose vci. so, it isn't a real J2534 one. So, no registry in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PassThruSupport\
I am just speculating. Haven't seen something like this before.

Good luck

RE: New CANCLIP interface
From what I can see, it is not a j2534, but a Chinese shortened Clip. If You have a correctly installed Clip, Connect the OBD connector to the Car, turn on the Ignition, then connect the USB Cable to the Computer and the Drivers should install Themselves.

Regards
