Hi, I wonder if someone can enlighten me as to how to correct mileage on a 57 plate (uk) astra h, a close friend of mine asked if I could help him out, I have digiprog and carprog (clones),but need some advice to accomplish this task,and if either of these tools would do this
, I don't want to wreck his cluster messing with his dash, it would have been different if it was my own car, as id be costing myself if the shit hit the fan and id did something wrong

Astra H milleage is stored in dash AND ecu. In dash has 35080 chip inside so you will propably need eraser for that chip or a brand new virgin 35080 chip. If the chip is soldered somewhere in the midle of dash mainboard sometimes does not need erasing so you can do the job with digiprog. If chip is soldered next to the screen cable it 100% needs erasing or replacing.
for ecu thinks are more complicated. I have done many opel astra H so if you need any help you can ask .

Dash can do with digiprog yanhua, and ecu if it is petrol no need to do, and if it is 1.9cdti you can do it with carprog clone, after you repair a1 cable.

Yes only the diesels need the mileage in the ecu doing. xtool does ecu obd

Need to set my astra milage need to add 38k lol, after changing clocks going to try vaux com to turn it up, i no you need to erase to go backward but not foward.

Just tried mine no joy with tech 2 vauxcom or opcom looks like the clocks are coming out again.
