XZBMW  BMW MOTORRAD TFT blacked out istep K001-07-531 fault?
2017 TFT R1200GS.
With genuine ICOM using ISTA
We have updated the software from K001-23--03-501 to K001-23-07-531.
There were updates for BCO and KOMBI.
The update completed without any problems, but
Then I did FDL coding
Diagnosis in ISTA after coding is error-free.
I disconnected the ICOM and cleaned it up.

When you turn the bike back on,
TFT meter suddenly restarts.
Then turn the switch off and on again,
The TFT meter remained dark and did not display.

I panicked.
Fortunately, a TFT meter was displayed when connecting ICOM.
There are many fault codes when connected to ISTA.

I rewritten ISTEP to 22-11-501 in ESYS
I changed it back to 23--03-501 using ISTA again. No problem.
(currently no coding)

My friend's R1250GS also had a recall update done at a BMW dealer in July. After that, I asked a friend to do the FDL coding for me, but he told me that there were problems such as the TFT screen restarting or not starting up.

I think there is a problem with July's ISTEP (K001-23-07-531). I think.

Has anyone had a similar experience?
Please let me know if you have any information

FDL coding I did
<KOMBI>
Startup M mark
Sports meter 1-2-3
Stopwatch
GSL (will not be activated)
12000rpm
speed unlock
<BCO>
Grip heater 3 stages
Grip heater PWM change
Cruising light ON, rear OFF
Follow Me Home Light ON
Comfort turn signal ON

RE: BMW MOTORRAD TFT blacked out istep K001-07-531 fault?
On my R1250R, version K001_23_07_532 is installed, no problems. The current version is K001_23_11_500. Perhaps this wil solve your problem.

If I helped you, please press THANKS & REPUTATION

I've been CODING for two years.
This is the first time this phenomenon has happened.
There was no problem with K001-23-03-501+CODING.

What does it mean to reset?
Please explain in detail.

RE: BMW MOTORRAD TFT blacked out istep K001-07-531 fault?
You SURE your coding tool has up-to-date mapping for 23-07??? Because for me it sounds like it does not so it breaks coding completely...

P.S. You could post your ncd files pre- and post- coding if you want any REAL insights...

P.P.S. If it does not it SHOULD tell you that. Except of course if you use crap tools like bimmercode or similar...

Software update was performed using ISTA+ and BMW genuine ICOM using v4.43.40_full data.
There were updates for BCO and KOMBI.

The current downgrade was performed using v4.39.30_full.
I rewrote istep with esys and performed it with ISTA+. There were updates for BCO and KOMBI.
This is the current state

This is a backup of esysultra.

(1)Status before update
K001_23_03_501 (coded)

(2)After software update
K001_23_07_532 (state before coding)

(3)Current state after downgrading
K001_23_03_501 (state before coding)

(4)Only NCD files with errors(non esysultra backup file)
After software update+ coded
K001_23_07_532 ( coded )

I have attached these.

RE: BMW MOTORRAD TFT blacked out istep K001-07-531 fault?
Your 23-07 kombi ncd (after coding) is MISSING the WHOLE freaking signature!!! No wonder it goes berserk!

P.S. Missed that you uploaded files.

P.P.S. Just checked - ESysUltra BREAKS that ncd when saving. BimmerUtility works without any issue...

P.P.P.S. Added 23-07 NCD with your replicated modifications done with BU.

P.P.P.P.S. Seems you still need PROPER tools.

P.P.P.P.P.S. I'm not affiliated with BU. Even wish they would help me move their license from my dying laptop to the new one. OK, that's enough PSes biggrin

RE: BMW MOTORRAD TFT blacked out istep K001-07-531 fault?
Thank you node
kombi and bco cafe
All signature values are 00.
Until now, the signature value was completely ignored.

I also have BU.

Is this a bug in esysultra? ?
Until now, I thought ultra was better.

I'm not sure which is the best solution.
Thank you node
