Hello,
I have a problem with idle speed on my Citroen C5 X7 2.0Hdi 140FAP-2011.
Sometime its happend that after the starting the engine or stopping the car during the driving ..the engine idle speed not stable, and sometime its happend that the engine stoped.
I changed the fuel filter (this is new inside) , but if the problem with the idle speed presented, i open the small valve (with pipe) on fuel filter and push many time the manual fuel pump..after this things restart the engine, and the idle speed is stable .
With Lexia i checked the fuel pressure, and in case that problem presented the pressure also changed and from motor side some noises i heard.
The problem is with pressure regulator valve or...?

Hi check your fuel pressure on idle should be abaut 280 bar +- 20 bar if fuel pressure jumping more than -+ 20 bar so i would go for the fuel pressure regulator on the pump! check is any dtc in ecu!

I checed the ECU and it is without any dtc!The pressure is not 280 Bar it is only 230 Bar on idle (messured with Lexia china clone)..it is correct?
Checked also the fuel pressure, it is on idle 230 Bar and jumping very small..maybe +-4-5 Bar.
Checked the fuel filter and filter house, and gassing the system on manual valve on the top of the filter housing. Now the engine working properly.

Before gasing the system, i checked the fuel pressure on idle and the jumping was very big,
the pressure jumped between the 170-310 Bar.
It is possible that the presenting the air in the fuel system cause this jumping?

With replacing the fuel filter with a new original complete fuel filter, the problem solved... i hope
Last 3500 km without any idle speed problem.
