hi all,

my neighbours 2020 bmw 320d g series was stolen from his home after they broke in and stole one of the keys,    the car was found the next day and he now has it back.

 the problem is the thief still has one of his keys.

so i plugged it into my bmw aos next and went to service functions / body / locking and security functions / remote key / block enable ,  then i try ABL block and enable remote key,  but it is greyed out and i cant click on it.

so i got my off-line version and went to service functions/ body / locking and security functions / remote key / block enable , at this point ABL block and enable remote key was available to click.     find the option to block and enable remote key,  this time it let me in.         
i can now select remote key status, which works fine.    when i try block remote key i get a message saying this function is not available.

how can i disable the stolen key??    is there a reason why my genuine online account will not let me??    is there a way to configure my off-line account so this function becomes available??

can it be done with e-sys??

Did you let ISTA do the complete vehicle scan?

i think i went straight in without full scan

solved

it was simply the fact that i had not ran a complete scan of the vehicle, once i had done the full scan the options became available.
