I don't think you can use software with 04A3
it might be VGS3_0402
Will need proper software(firmware) and code.
Online SCN can correct it,
if do it offline will need some expert point out the correct software and code for you.

There are TSB's about this. VGS2->VGS3 needs SA code change in Vedoc server to complete it with Xentry.

Other people will do programming manually, but they do not have ability to SCN.

If it works it works. If it doesn't, the change in the Vedoc documentation allows the transmission to be software updated with real Xentry. There was a supplier change of modules. They are not compatible with old valvebodies (if you did plate repair).

With OEM Xentry, if you do not change the Vedoc information, there will be no software updates, and SCN will fail. If you do it correctly by changing Vedoc codes, it will find software, and SCN coding will work.

So even though people can flash these, and they seem to work, there is a reason Benz put out the TSBs related to the change of suppliers.

Not currently aware of any issues by manually flashing them and using the coding out of the old unit.

Never had to modify VeDoc for any 722.9 transmission for online programming. The only ones I tend to do manually are the old 722.901 which are VGS1. Otherwise, no modification needed.

I have done the EGS3 to VGS2_0402 manually.
Replace the whole transmission box with TCU(VGS3), coding and adaptation etc.
Everything working, gear shift properly and no faults.

But, I'm still curious is that correct firmware and 'kodlama' to use.
Because I have looked up the datacard,
even the same model with more or less the same packages and also have sport package etc,
some use Software 2 some use 3 in datacard,
the firmware and scn code also different although they are the same eg C350 with sport package.
