ZTAudi  Newbie trying to learn VAG Coding in need of help
Hello, first of all happy holidays to everyone celebrating. A new soul here, only worked on a few older VAG models with VCDS, basic stuff only. I have been dealing with BMWs for a few years now, got a bit bored, decided to learn others. Would anyone be kind enough to teach me to do carplay/android auto activations, s layout, map updates, FEC patching and similar on Audi/other VAGs?
If someone could point me in the right direction to get started, would be awesome.
Any help is appreciated, thanks a lot.

always make autoscan on any car you're working on is the best advice i can give you, once autoscan is saved, you will have all the original coding so if you make any mistakes while coding, you can go to you're saved autoscan and find the original coding and reverse you're mistakes, goodluck

Just to add autoscan + save adaptation channels and you could save also measured values it is sometimes handy.

Tell me this, can all the codings be done only with VCDS, like TSR and other driver assists with camera, no need for anything else?

for flashing modules you'll need something else, like VCP (vag can pro)

don't waste you're money on VCP clone, they don't work

And how often is flashing needed to make some extra functions work?
How hard is enabling traffic sign recognition, lane assist and other functions?

For now i am trying to learn coding only, not retrofitting. Enabling of additional functions such as TSR, lane assist, s style layout etc...
