Hello. Has anyone managed to update ECUs with INSTA D and VCX SE (as if it were ICOM)?

I have a problem with my vci or configuration. I can use ISTA D without problem for diagnosis, actuator testing and other functions in the F series. Today I wanted to update the software of an ECU in a Mini F056 but I haven't been able to do it. When we go to the "software update" function in "vehicle management" the software stays loading the measure plan for a while and in a moment a pop up appears saying that the connection with the vehicle is broken. Otherwise the VCX VC is detected as an ICOM. I have tried everything, by cable, by wifi, with doip activated/deactivated... and always the same message. I have also tried it on another F010 car and the same thing...


I would like to know if anyone has managed to flash with ISTA D and VCX SE.

My version of ISTA D is 4.39.20.

Rather, it is a problem with a specific car or program. 4.39.20
Vcx works well including programming but is slower than icom. In my opinion, this equipment cannot be had as the only one but used as an auxiliary

Something with the ISTA around the version you are using makes the VCX's fail to program. Either run an older ISTA or E-Sys will work quickly and trouble free for any updates, I've found.

The car is not the problem because I tested on bmw and mini. Maybe installation problem, I will try a older version to check if that part of ISTA D works... For now, we updated dme software today with vcx se and esys

I have same problem and raised some question to the seller. I am using same ISTA+ 4.39.2 and all time display as in attachment

Followed advice but no avail. I am waiting for some resolution from seller, after 17th Feb. (China New Year)
I will post whatever answer I will receive.

Have you tested with earlier releases of ISTA such as 4.2x as it may be that the system simply does not support more recent ISTA release?

Answer is I do not checked with early ISTA releases.

Hello to all,

As I said I contacted seller (https://www.vxdiagshop.eu/)and had a rather strange and long conversation with them  and bottom line he said that is not possible to program with ISTA+, although in their web page you could, and said to buy another tool as per attached screenshot.
Later on he offer to return the unit to an address in Belgium an tracking number, then will see.

Any thoughts?
