NBT EVO ID4 upgraded with 4GB RAM board
What is to be done, to be able to use such unit as if it was originally with 4GB RAM? 4GB RAM board is from unknown type EVO, but is original 4GB, not modified one. Unit is HB143 US version.
What I've tried - flash with ID5/6 18-03 BTLD/SWFL - no problem, even IBA can be flashed, so hard drive is not locked due wrong serial. The bad, but fixable - software manipulation error, so black screen. Can also not be VO coded like native ID5/6 device, so there is probably much more to be done, but what? Some adjblock parameters for sure... Can such hybrid unit be used with APXI2 display and how? |

RE: NBT EVO ID4 upgraded with 4GB RAM board
you can install 4gb board on an id4 unit. Works like a charm. Just make sure you run it as apix1 but you will run into black screens randomly. This is fixable but it is not publicly available unfortunately.
vo lock can be fixed, no adjustblocks whatsoever needs to be done. If the 4gb board is of a different region you need to unlock the region. If its from a 5.1hw board you cant.... |

RE: NBT EVO ID4 upgraded with 4GB RAM board
So, no APIX2, unit must stay on ilevel 18-03 to avoid random black screen, must be VO and Region unlocked/fixed, but will recognize and use the full 4GB RAM and will not reboot due low memory?
