MEVD17.2.3 with FC200 sanity check
Hi All. I'm working on a personal project that will involve remapping a BMW B38 with MEVD17.2.3 DME. I have a hex dump and matching A2L that is a different version than what would be in the car and and a build date about 2 years apart.
My project will require full access to parameters identified in the A2L far beyond just matching up a few fuel and timing maps, so I would like to back date to the A2L documented software version. Using an FC200 programmer, should it be as simple as reading the ISN from the running vehicle, updating the documented hex file with this ISN and VIN, and then flash, or is there something bigger that I'm missing here? |
