DSC Module Coding - Error 5DE3
Cut a long story short - test fitted a replacement CAS & DME (identical part numbers) in a 2012 Mini One in an attempt to rectify another issue it was having. Turned out it wasnt the CAS/DME at fault so put the original CAS & DME back in the car.
Now getting code 5DE3 - Control Unit, Encoding Error No bother I thought, I'll just recode it with ISTA/P. However no matter what I do it always fails - seems to program ( P ) the first bit fine but then fails on the coding ( C ) portion. I've tried telling it that it's a replacement unit and it still fails. Could the CAS/DME temporary swap have affected the vehicle order somehow and this is now affecting the coding of the DSC module? Anyone got any clues please? Using Windows 10 Pro, ISTA/P Loader 6.1, KDCAN USB Cable (not ideal I know). |

RE: DSC Module Coding - Error 5DE3
Try to code the DSC with a ICOM either with NCSexpert or ISTA-P.

I don't have one as yet - is this the correct part number I would need direct from BMW?
