When I take the Edibas.bin file out of the folder, Ista works as it should. I quickly have the full diagnosis behind me in under 3 minutes. But if the file is not in the folder, I can no longer use all HU tools to make service entries or the FSC Reader does not work either. Only when I copy the file back into the folder

Another issue with this release.
After scanning a car, ISTA shows all modules green while there are errors. The modules with errors are no longer yellow.

Sounds like your ISTA is NOT in ISTA+ mode... As no problem with yellow faulty units here.

i did a multi boot

with

1 ista 4.50.2 and only ista d nothing else no big mod original ediabas,
2 Esys and nothing else
3 Ista 4.39. and ista p 72 for the oldtimer and nothing else original ediabas and toll kit for the same time of the 4.39.

i dont have any problem with speed or dont work

all is about 850GB i use an 2TB m2 ssd

Hello Everyone..

I would love your opinion , i have at the moment installed I-Lean Ista version 4.5.10 did nopt update yet because i am waiting for the Dutch SQLiteDBs ones i have them i wil update to 4.50.20.
I dont have standard tools installed but i have Ediabas 7.3 on my C:\Ediabas ,some years ago when i founf this forum i bought on E-Bay a Enet cable for my F10 and with that cable came some software like DR Gini and Esys .
There was an autoinstall menu and after installing everything Ediabas 7.3 was installed on my system, ,ow with the new Ista versions that use first Rdiabas 7.6 and now 7.7 ista is still working but before it would take about 3 minutes to fully read the car now it tyakes double the time between 6 and 7 minutes.
I als have HuService Manager ,Tool32 and DRGini B50 installed and FSC reader ands some more stuf like CIC fsc file reader -nbt file reader i have an ESYX dongle and i habe BimmerUtility and i still have The latest LauncherPro 5.2 with a working licence. I think all thes programs use Ediabas 7.3 ( shoot me if i am wrong i am not a specialist on thes thing i know how to work with Ista and do codings with Esys but that's it)

So i would love to have my Ista back at the speed it was before the Ista version with Ediabas 7.6 or 7.7 , but i dont want to loose the working functions of all the other software that (I think uses Ediabas 7.3 ) i have read on this forum about a script to switch from Ediabas versions ? if so what do i have to do ? copying the whole Ediabas from Ista to c:\ Ediabas ?deleting the ediabs variable?

Hope someone can help me dont want to srew up my system.

Make a copy of your Ediabas Folder....rename it to Ediabas_77 (for example)
Go into your ISTA Folder --> usually c:\Program Files (x86)\BMW\ISPI\TRIC\ISTA\Ediabas\
There is a BIN Folder....copy this BIN folder into your EDIABAS_77 folder (before you copy delete the existing BIN in C:\Ediabas_77\)

Now u can write a script for easy switching....or you manually rename the folders depending on which one you need.

Example:
You have Folder EDIABAS and EDIABAS_77 and you will use ISTA+ so you rename your EDIBAS into EDIABAS_73 and your EDIABAS_77 in EDIABAS

Then i have to write a script so i can easy swith ? have do you write a script never done this?

Like i said for me this is chinees ,i am no computer wizard.

Here is simple solution
Use program like Bandizip /WinRAR /WinZIP /7Zip
Zip complete folder "BIN" inside C:\EDIABAS\ OR C:\EC-APPS\EDIABAS
Then rename BIN.zip to EDIABAS_BIN.7.3.zip
Then navigate to MY_ISTA_LOCATION_EXAMPLE "C:\Program Files (x86)\BMW\ISPI\TRIC\ISTA\Ediabas"
Then compress/archive(zip it) following folders 
Security && Licences && BIN
Into one compressed file EDIABAS_BIN.7.6.zip

Then copy EDIABAS_BIN.7.6.zip inside  C:\EDIABAS\ OR C:\EC-APPS\EDIABAS

When you need to use 7.3 just unzip  EDIABAS_BIN.7.3.zip "HERE" and over-write files and folders
When you need to use 7.6 just unzip  EDIABAS_BIN.7.6.zip "HERE" and over-write files and folders
 Don't forget to check or correct your "EDIABAS.INI" settings for your K/D-CAN or ICOM or ESYS or.....
