Change NBT Evo iDrive 6 Lite Main Menu Car Widget
I have an F25 which has all the correct vehicle pictures and animations in submenus but the vehicle picture on the main menu defaulted to a G30.
I don't like the look of putting real pictures in place of this rendered pic so instead, I just copied a different included vehicle pic, the F15 one, which looks more similar to my F25 than the default G30 pic. Enable SSH access. PM RuleNormaliai https://cartechnology.co.uk/member.php?a...uid=170400 for a good price on a Feature Installer unlock code to do this. SSH in to 169.254.199.119 as root with pw ts&SK412 mount -o remount rw /fs/sda0 mv /fs/sda0/opt/hmi/ID5/data/ro/bmw/id6l/assetDB/Domains/Main/Heroes/hero_myvehicle_G30/id6_main_g30_hero.png /fs/sda0/opt/hmi/ID5/data/ro/bmw/id6l/assetDB/Domains/Main/Heroes/hero_myvehicle_G30/id6_main_g30_hero_original.png cp /fs/sda0/opt/hmi/ID5/data/ro/bmw/id6l/assetDB/Domains/Main/Heroes/hero_myvehicle_F15/id6hero_f15.png /fs/sda0/opt/hmi/ID5/data/ro/bmw/id6l/assetDB/Domains/Main/Heroes/hero_myvehicle_G30/id6_main_g30_hero.png *NOTE it is only a space between the source and target path. It's just the forum that wraps it to a new line* exit I then opened nbt_evo.prg in tool32 and ran "steuergeraete_reset" to restart the headunit. It now has the F15 pic instead of the G30 one! I read somewhere that the filesystem MUST be remounted as read-only afterwards or the headunit will be bricked. I highly doubted this but I did try. I tried running both "mount -o remount r /fs/sda0" and "mount -o remount ro /fs/sda0". Neither option worked. The filesystem remained as read/write after the commands. My usual thought is that the filesystem will default to read-only again after the unit is rebooted again anyway. Is this true? I have not checked yet. Every reference I've seen to read/write mounting also mentions running "mount -ur qnx6 /net/hu-omap/fs/sda0" and accessing the files through that path instead of directly from /fs/sda0. I did not need to do this. Maybe the /net/hu-omap/fs/sda0 mount point is needed for SCP but not for modifying the existing contents of the filesystem. Can anyone shed any light on this? |
