ZVW  Remove remap from Golf Mk7
Hi All

I would like to remove the current remap from my car and put it back to stock but then if the issues I am having do not go away put the map back on.

The map was installed by a UK company called remap kings using the superchips file, however they charge £90 to remove it and will not put it back on unless full price is paid.

I was hoping I could purchase something that would let me dump the remap file and put it back on myself if that is possible ?

I do not have the original stock file either so I am not sure if I will still have to pay them to return it back to stock or not ?

Any help and advice would be appreciated .

The car is a VW Golf 2.0 GT TDI MK7 2013

If you don't want to spend a lot. You want to do it safely, so the best solution is KTAG. You make a backup of the unit. You will have a modified map if you want to upload it to sleep. And you can also upload original software with it. You just need to select the control unit, open it and do it on the table.

Thank you for your reply,  How much is the KTAG and where is best to purchase it from ,

when you say open it and do it on the table , do you mean the ECU itself ?

Thanks

The original file is with the Remap Kings tuner.

The remap file is on the car at the moment ,

I would like to save the current remapped file and have my car but back to stock, but have the ability to put the remapped file back on my car if I choose too.

If you don't want to do it professionally, just buy a Chinese clone, they can do a lot. they have no problem with EDC17 until 2017. 2018 and above are already starting to have a problem with removing protection. The price of the Chinese clone will be maybe €70-150. We will provide you with the original map if you give us the SW HW number and sw version

RE: Remove remap from Golf Mk7
You need the file 04L906021DT_4943 ori.
yes, such a version will be enough for this work.
You can buy KTAG 7,020 or 8,000

Tell me how it reads the modified map from the ECU with ODIS/VCP? ODIS/VCP can't do it! His question is not only how to upload the original software, but he also wants to keep the modified software in case he decides to use it again.

I have VCP but I would like to keep current map to reupload if my issues are not resolved by putting the stock map back on.

Thanks for your advice though.

It is the first software that was made for that car. Older does not exist!
I am uploading the file you need. If I helped you, don't forget to press THX+REP.
