RE: New Passat and Tiguan 2024
Yes, unfortunately all UNECE compliant, so SFD2 locked You can't use any diagnostic tool except ODIS without unlocking SFD2 first as diag will see only gateway and nothing else. So people with VCDS, VCP, OBD Eleven are out.
I managed to make a complete scan using ODIS-E in CAN-FD mode with original VAS6154B, I was offline and no SFD2 unlock was necessary to perform. I haven't tried changing any adaptation or coding, these were the very first cars avaiable here before the start of sale. |

Oh that is even worst than I though, I was in impression that at least scan vehicle and delete fault codes will be possible with VCDS.

RE: New Passat and Tiguan 2024
Could be the thing that VCDS sees only gateway on those vehicles due to fact they are able communicate only on CAN-FD? In other words do you think that using VAS6154A + ODIS S or ODIS E in Offline mode will be able at least scan fault codes and clear them when needed? Thanks.
