Original ICOM shouldn't have poor WIFI signal issue.
You could use Wifiman to check WIFI channel occupied condition. Avoid using same channel with strong signals.

This issue occurred with some of the latest firmware. Not sure if with 4.23.22 for NEXT or the one before.

I don't have any issues with Wifi on original NEXT and latest firmware.
