RSE permanent resets after NBT replacement
Hi,

In F02 from 2012 I needed to reaplace NBT iD3 as the old one was booting long, restarting and various other things.

I found unit with same part no., then installed it in the car and applied the patch. Maps updated, all seems to work fine but:

Reading Diagnostic Trouble Codes
0xB7F8AE: Ethernet connection head unit to RSE High: Link status of the Ethernet driver not ok
0xE1C43F: MOST: The recipient did not answer the message
0xE1C447: MOST: a control unit has logged off
0xB7FC46: Permanenet resets

Is there a procedure I need to execute so RSE can start working normally without constant restarts? Only thing that comes to my mind is update the unit since the soft in NBT is NBT_A12201I and RSE is on the newest avaialble.

Anyone encountered such problem and found solution ?

Thank you for the hint

I assumed if the part no is the same and it has ports for RSE it should be fine. But after calculating TAL all seems to be ok as per attached print screen.

What would be HW differenece between such units? Ports and some some chips on emmc ?

RE: RSE permanent resets after NBT replacement
I would just first flash both to the same firmware level. Of course RSE is resetting, so NBT first. Then check if it's more stable, then RSE if it is.

Whenever possible you want a newer part number and not the same part number. The same part number may have the same defects as the original and a newer part number if superseded may have improved internal hardware if original IC/package design was obsoleted.
