Heating in Bmw F10 smells like old socks, what can i do?
So few weeks ago i noticed that heating in my car started to stink like worn socks. It’s a terrible scent. I did small service two months ago,and changed filters. Klima doesnt stink, but warm air is a katastrophe. What can i do? How can i check if drain pipe or something is clogged? Thanks

There likely is mold growth in the air ventilation system, which can be treated with commercially available air conditioning disinfectant sprays to get rid of the unpleasant odour.

You can try to go to a professional car wash and ask for an ozone treatment. It's a little machine that they will leave in the closed car for around 1 hour with the ventilation active. This machine transforms the environment oxygen to ozone, so the expected result is to kill everything (smells, molds, viruses, etc) without use of chemicals. After that you can use an aircon purifier in the ventilation system and change the cabin filter again with a quality carbon filter.
